UKAS | Leatherhead upholds cooking instructions accreditation
Leatherhead Food Research’s cooking instructions laboratory has maintained accreditation status following its annual audit conducted by accreditation body UKAS, achieving zero findings.
UKAS audited the department against ISO 17025:2017 (general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories). Its report emphasised good technical and quality fulfilment with traceability, as well as confirming that competence has been maintained.
This achievement comes after Leatherhead extended its accredited cooking instruction generation and verification services to incorporate air fryers.
Head of Cooking Instructions, Natasha Burton, is pleased with this recent success after a busy year for her department.
“We pride ourselves on our high standards and scientific processes, and it’s great to have them substantiated via external assessment,” she explains. “Our accredited cooking instructions services encompass a wide range of equipment, and there’s a high level of demand at present. My team is attentive and professional so I’m pleased, but not surprised, that we passed the latest audit with zero findings.”
Following the audit, Leatherhead maintains its status as a UKAS accredited testing laboratory (no. 9365) for: cooking instructions testing (microwave oven, gas and electric thermal oven, electric fan oven, gas and electric hob, gas and electric grill, deep fat fryer, air fryer, defrost) and in cook temperature measuring techniques.
Our cooking instructions laboratory delivers a high-quality service, often within tight deadlines. Contact our experienced team to discuss your requirements and we’ll recommend the most appropriate testing programme for your product.
